26,000 rounds on Value Turret press
5 years ago I purchased the Lee Value Turret kit.

Since then I have loaded over 26,000 rounds of 9mm, 38 and 357, 45 acp, 10mm and 223. Only failed rounds was a dud primer. Ammo is accurate and reliable across various firearms. I use all Lee dies set.

The only failure is one broken primer arm which Lee replaced for free. Some say the auto index plastic ratchet fails quickly. Mine is original. It appears it is only ruined when you continually remove the turret without first raising ram.

I load pistol ammo with the auto index. 3 or 4 pulls for each round (4th factory crimp die used for 38/357) for a comfortable 150+ per hour. I load 223 in stages for no particular reason.

I have not loaded large rifle cartridges so can't comment. I might recommend the classic turret press for larger calibers.

The Lee scale is VERY sensitive but is more difficult to get a specific weight set repeatedly. I use an RCBS 505 to set a desired charge weight on the powder measure, then adjust the Lee scale to match. I then use the Lee scale for periodic checks while loading since accurately detects minute changes to powder charge than any other scale I have, balance or digital.

The autodrum powder measure works consistently. However, I can't get really fine powder like H110 to not leak, but still drops accurately. The smaller pistol drums seem to leak less and drop more accurately with fine powders.

I have no regrets on purchase.
