Please note: Lee dies size to minimum headspace so your brass does not get over-worked and maintains accuracy. If you have issues chambering sized cases in your antique firearm, you may send in your sizing die along with 3 fired cases for a headspace adjustment. There is no charge for this service.
Lee resizing lubricant is required with this die set.

Lee 38-40 Winchester Case Length Gauge is a precise, easy way to trim to length and square the case mouth. Use with the Deluxe Case Conditioning Kit, Case Conditioning Kit, or Cutter and Lock Stud.
Trim to length 1.285 to 1.305 inches.

Lee 38-40 Winchester Factory Crimp Die crimps the bullet in place more firmly than any other tool. Tests demonstrate that even bullets which have no crimp groove will shoot more accurately. A firm crimp improves accuracy because pressure must build to a higher level before the bullet begins to move. This higher start pressure insures a more uniform pressure curve and less velocity variation.
